Patricia Strutz (NEW for 2008)

Patricia Strutz, "A Blond and Her Boat", is a fishing zealot whose energy and enthusiasm for the sport is contagious. She is on a mission to get more Women on the Water. Her outfitting business organizes all women and couples group fishing and outdoor-sports trips. She also offers individually guided fishing trips--casting out of a Crestliner or rowing out of a row trolling boat.

Strutz is an outdoor writer (Outdoor Life, Esox Angler, MUSKIE, Great Lakes Angler, Badger Sportsman,) co-inventor of the Sea-View Marine Shield, instructional DVD host, and seasoned seminar speaker.


Rick LaPoint (NEW for 2008)

Rick LaPoint is a U.S. Coast Guard licensed, fully insured, professional guide, taking anglers out on Table Rock Lake near Branson, MO. He has over 30 years of bass tournament experience and many wins, including 2006 Best of the Beat Team Champion, 2006 Central Pro-AM Champion and 2007 Weekend Warrior Champion with over $100,000 in winnings in the last 12 months. Rick specializes in deep water tactics for bass and loves to take kids out fishing!


Spence Petros

Spence Petros is one of North America's most versatile and well-respected anglers. He’s an author, fishing educator, tournament angler, tackle designer and veteran of over 125 television shows, including three years on ESPN's national show "The Outdoor Writers". In 1989 Petros was inducted into the National Fresh Water Fishing Hall of Fame. Spence now writes regularly for some of the top fishing magazines in North America which include North American Fisherman, Fishing Facts, Bassin', Crappie Magazine and more. Spence's career has been dedicated to "teaching fishermen to catch more fish".


Ed Bohn (NEW for 2008)

Ed Bohn is a professional angler from Alsip, IL. He began fishing the Calumet system in 1987 and moved to Lake Michigan in 1993 because of fishing pressure and pursuit of bigger smallmouth bass. Ed has won numerous fishing awards and has appeared on various media programs, including Outdoors with Mike Norris, The Outdoor Experience with Steve Sarley and Mike Jackson Outdoors Radio. He is the founder of several local area fishing tournaments.

He took home 1st place in the IL Bass Federation Nation State Championship in 2007. He is nicknamed the “Godfather” of smallmouth bass fishing on Southern Lake Michigan by local outdoors news media.


Curt Strutz (NEW for 2008)

Curt Strutz aka “The Bassmeister” is a fun and entertaining guy who brings the excitement of fishing into the lives of both adults and children. His comedy/ventriloquism show entitled “Fishing for Laughs” gets the crowds rolling in their seats with side-splitting humor that is safe for the entire family! His shows enlighten audiences with ventriloquism, unique visual props, audience participation, and yet he still manages to find the opportunity to educate the crowds on basic topics such as water safety and environmental awareness. The Bassmeister has appeared at boat shows, fairs, festivals, libraries, resorts, and retail stores all over the country, bringing clean humor and fun to people of all ages.


Darrell Baker

Darrell grew up in the northwestern corner of Lake County, Illinois, affording him ample opportunities to fish and hunt. He is a true water man and is also a U.S.C.G. licensed captain and has fished and hunted from the Arctic to well below the Amazon River. He has been nicknamed "Jerimiah Johnson" but perhaps the best fitting description given to him was by his close friend, Jerry Nelson, the "Fishing Machine”.

Darrell has been featured on ESPN, Outdoor Wisconsin, Midwest Outdoors and more. He has also appeared in publications such as the Chicago Tribune, Chicago Sun-Times, The Wall Street Journal and The Daily Herald. He has won numerous tournaments including the prestigious Hemmingway Brown, "The Big One" and The Pepsi-Cola Chain-O-Lakes Derby.
